Recovery Month Event
In recognition of September as National Recovery Month, you’re invited….. THE RECOVERY PROJECT Aspire Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability Services presents the 2nd Annual art event titled: The Recovery Project – an art exhibition that will display what recovery means to the individuals who are experiencing it. For the month of September, we are encouraging the individuals that we serve to explore what recovery is for each person. What is your definition of recovery? What does recovery look like? What does it feel like? Is it a journey or a destination? Individuals are encouraged to create a piece of artwork that represents their own ideas about Recovery, and they can use whatever medium they would like. Whether someone thinks they are “artistic” or not doesn’t matter – it does not have to be a “masterpiece” in anyone else’s eyes. The Recovery Project will be on display and a reception held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday 9/27/2018 at the Albany Museum of Art located at 311 Meadowlark Drive; Albany, Georgia. This event is open to the public and is free of charge. Come join us as we celebrate what Recovery looks like and feels like in southwest Georgia!
